September PDM – Advancing S&OP Results Before Installing Third-Party Software

No enterprise resource planning system can address all companies’ unique sales and operations planning (S&OP) reporting requirements out of the box. Thus, businesses struggle with how to get these needed figures. Attend this educational session to gain insights on using ad hoc analytical solutions in real-world S&OP rollouts and enhancement projects. You will learn how to progress your organization’s S&OP reporting prior to purchasing third-party software packages and gain access to no-cost sample Excel tools to employ at your workplace. This educational session qualifies for 1 elective hour toward the APICS S&OP Education Certificate.

This session is focused on the critical role both leaders and managers play in the future success of the business. We outline the key operational differences between leaders and managers, and how to develop leaders at all levels of the organization, which becomes increasingly important during times of rapid and complex change. Given the complexity facing organizations today, this information is timely and relevant.

Learning Objectives:

Participants will understand the specific traits and roles of “leaders” versus “managers” and how they complement one another in a successful organization

  1. We will outline the need to have leaders at all levels of the organization, and how individuals can be both leaders and managers within an organization
  2. Participants will learn how to assess the correct balance of leaders vs. managers within their organization based upon the rate and complexity of change occurring within their environment
