Please join us at the at Twisted Spur on December 10th from 5:30 to 7:30 pm for networking PDM meeting. This is an opportunity to meet other MidCarolina APICS members and learn about activities and tours that we are planning for the spring.
Come see a flow process that we rely on everyday, fresh water!
We will be touring the Columbia Canal Water Treatment facility,
seeing the process, and discussing the following topics:
1) How do you forecast
demand of water and monitor that demand?
2)
How do you monitor inventory of freshwater in the system?
3)
What is the process for creating freshwater?
4)
What would be the throughput time from intake to distribution pipe to the city?
5)
How do you forecast long range capital investments?
If you go to our
website (www.midcarolina-apics.org)
you can hear a short podcast of the Chicago Water Treatment facility, toured
during the APICS International Conference.
Come join us!

See you there for a great night.
The APICS MidCarolina Chapter is touring Conquest Brewing, a new local brewer to explore Supply Chain and Operations Management. Even a small micro brew has to source it’s raw materials, perfect its manufacturing process, and establish distribution channels and packaging.
Its goal was simple: in eighteen minutes, teams of four must build the tallest freestanding structure out of 20 sticks of spaghetti, one yard of tape, one yard of string, and one marshmallow. The marshmallow has to be on top.
