October Webinar

October 27, 2016  12:00 PM – 1:00 PM

APICS Southeast District Webinar Series presents

“Best Practices for Maintaining Your APICS Certification”

featuring Mr. Chris Barnes, CFPIM, CSCP, LSSYB President, APICS Atlanta moderated by Scott W. Luton, APICS Southeast District Staff

Register Here

In early 2016 the APICS Atlanta Board realized, through happenstance, many members were unaware of the requirement to maintain certification every 5 years. As we further investigated this finding, we learned many people, although generally aware of the maintenance requirement, were unfamiliar with the basic guidelines for maintaining certification, and more importantly were not familiar with ways/sources to acquire maintenance points.
This webinar serves to outline the basic APICS certification maintenance requirements and uncover maintenance point sources in an effort to help you preserve the currency of your hard-earned APICS certification credentials.

About the presenter: Chris Barnes is a supply chain thought leader with HighJump, President of APICS Atlanta and founder of Lean Atlanta Consortium. He has over 20 years experience developing and managing multiple client, engineering consulting, strategic planning and operational improvement projects in warehousing, distribution and manufacturing environments. Barnes holds a B.S., Industrial Engineering and Economics Minor, from Bradley University, and an MBA in Industrial Psychology with Honors from the University of West Florida. He is a certified APICS instructor and holds CFPIM and CSCP designations. He served on the international Board of Trustees for the Institute of Industrial Engineers and is Past President of WERC Atlanta. He presented to and/or trained over 1500 people and authored the book “WMS: Phase 1: Assessment & Selection” a WERC Publication: www.werc.org/publications/publication.aspx?PublicationId=52
